Dog sled exhibition. Prior to the exhibition we were allowed to
pet the dogs. They all were affectionate
and enjoyed the attention.
Here the rangers are
hooking up the dogs. See how eager they
are to get moving. Dog and sleds are
used in the winter to patrol the park.
After leaving the park and
heading south toward Homer I finally got a glimpse of Denali. The white mountain

We spent two nights in
this biker bar/motel. Ralph had some
work to catch up on and I had some sleep to catch up on. So, by this point in our trip, I had slept
out back behind the bar in Chicken, Alaska, slept in a greenhouse in Fairbanks
and now I was sleeping over the bar. I
wondered just when I would rest my head for the night inside the bar……
