the view.

The Spit in Homer can be
seen out in the water on the left side of the photo. It was extremely windy on the spit when we rode out
there. Our bikes leaned at a sharp angle
as we struggled to stay on the road.
Tents in the campground on the beach of rocks were turned inside
out. I was delighted we had reservations
in a hostel in the town and not in a tent on the windy beach.

Homer,
The Spit
The wind died out somewhat
overnight and we rode again to the Spit to have lunch and window shop. While Ralph checks his e-mail on his Trio, I
waited for the eagles. I was not disappointed.

Eagles played in the wind
as we enjoyed our lunch on the deck.

A
view from a side road out of Homer, AK that ran along a mountain ridge and
ended in a Russian community. There were many glaciers
to be seen on this road but the road was so narrow and curvy there were not
many safe spots to pull off for photos.
