Exit Glacier, just north of Seward, Alaska, is the only glacier in Kenai Fiord National Park reached by road.  A short hike takes you to the base of the glacier.

Glennallen, Alaska

Mile 8592

We stopped at this lodge in Glennallen for breakfast after spending the night in a wilderness campground.  The campground was really quite nice but when the morning came, so did the black flies.  This campground was one of two on our trip where I thought I would completely loose my mind fighting the biting insects.

I am a complete sucker for beautiful flowers.  Just about every establishment in Alaska had baskets or tubs full of vibrant colored flowers.
