Ralph and I had this beautiful campground all to ourselves.  Well, except for the seven foot alligator that lived in the lake directly across from our campsite.

Our campsite is just around the bend in this little dirt road.  Notice the sign on the tree.

Relaxing in the woods, but still with one eye on the lookout for the seven foot alligator.

This was our beautiful campsite for the night.  It is a canoeing campground on Route 63.  Once again we had the campground to ourselves, well, except for the critters.

Memorial Day

We spent two nights with Janet and her husband and family.  When we arrived at their house they had a surprise party waiting for us with tons of great food and family.  Everyone was interested in our journey and wishing us lots of luck on our journey and my personal quest to the Arctic.

Pictured are Janet’s mom laying flowers at her husbands grave, Janet’s husband, Terry and son Riley.
