Ralph enjoying his birthday cigar at Smiley Creek Lodge.  We got one of the last rooms for the night and slept over the kitchen.  Of course all the heat from the kitchen rose into our room.  Outside it was nice and cool but we couldn’t let the door or windows open due to the lovely mosquitoes.

White Salmon, Washington

We returned to White Salmon, to Bean Haven for the wedding of William and Jody.

The wedding was sweet and beautiful.  On a hill, overlooking

Mt. Adam still covered in snow, and the sun setting gently over the mountains to the west, Jody walked on her father’s arm to meet her

new husband, William.  The orange setting sun cast a sherbet color on her long silken gown and her skin glowed with afternoon sun.

Her eyes shown with happiness as her father kissed her one last time, as his little girl and turned Jody over to her new love.

William and Jody spoke their own vows of love and support for

each other and commitment of such for a lifetime.  William’s life, to

 me, was now complete.

With a kiss and a hug, the new Joiners were presented to family

and friends and the sun bowed gracefully behind the mountains.

It was a sweet and beautiful wedding.

The rest of the evening was spent in celebration and song.  Here William plays and sings to his new bride.
